SECOND BBC RADIO 4 SERIES ANNOUNCED FOR FRANK SKINNER’S THE REST IS HISTORY

It was announced today (Tuesday 26th May 2015) that FRANK SKINNER will present a second series of The Rest is History, the critically acclaimed comedy discussion show he created for BBC Radio 4. Recordings will take place at London’s Drill Hall and tickets to sit in the audience are available.

FRANK SKINNER loves history, but just doesn’t know much of it, so he’s devised The Rest Is History, a comedy discussion show, in order to find out more about it. Along with his historian in residence DR KATE WILLIAMS, each episode will see FRANK joined by a selection of celebrity guests, who will help him navigate his way through the annals of time, picking out and chewing over the funniest, oddest, and most interesting moments in history. Guests in the first series of The Rest is History included DAVID BADDIEL, KATY BRAND, VICTORIA COREN MITCHELL, DAVE GORMAN, JOHN LLOYD, SARA PASCOE and JOSH WIDDICOMBE.

The Rest is History is an Avalon Television production, re-commissioned by SIONED WILLIAM, Commissioning Editor for Comedy, BBC Radio 4 and Radio 4 Extra. The series is co-produced by MARK AUGUSTYN (Producer of BBC 5 Live’s 7 Day Sunday), and JUSTIN POLLARD (Historian, author, columnist and historical advisor for productions including Pirates of the Caribbean, The Tudors and Vikings. Executive producers are JON THODAY and RICHARD ALLEN-TURNER.
