Eva Peroni

Eva Peroni is a queer Scottish stand up based in Edinburgh. At 22, Eva is one of the youngest working comics in the UK. Eva started stand up at 17 in Costa Rica and performs in English and Spanish. Characterised by her bouncy delivery, gen-z flair and radical approach to political material, Peroni is a favourite of the Scottish club scene, regularly performing at Monkey Barrel and the Stand as well as being a resident MC at Gilded Balloon’s year round venue.

Eva’s career has been following an upwards trajectory since reaching the semi finals of the LGBTQ New Comedian of the Year in 2024. The following year she was one of the most sought after support acts for Scottish dates supporting Susie McCabe and Kim Blythe, amongst others. Eva was named one of The Herald’s ‘5 rising Scottish comedians to look out for’, a claim quickly supported when she was chosen from over 50 applicants to receive full funding from Red Bull UK to debut at the Edinburgh Fringe with her show “Jungled”.

Eva’s debut show was a huge success, selling out 90% of the run and receiving multiple 4 and 5 star reviews. Throughout the month Eva won 3 awards: The Fest/Skinny Bestie Award for Emerging Talent, The Somewhere for Us Queer Fringe Award and the Chortle Student Comedy Award – the first Scottish act in the award’s history to win.

As a current student of international law, Eva has a strong grasp on world politics and current affairs and so has become sought after for topical programs. She has written for and appeared on The Saturday Show Morning Scroll and The Good, The Bad and the Unexpected on BBC Radio Scotland and the televised BBC panel show Breaking the News, as well as appearances on STV News.

Tour Support for: Susie McCabe, Kim Blythe, Sam Nicoresti, David Correos, David Nihill, Grace Mulvey, Peter Flannagan, Evaldas Karosas, Fern Brady.
