Emma Doran embarked on her first ever stand up gig while on maternity leave, that evening she won best act of the night and has been gigging non stop since.
Emma has garnered over 175k followers on social media for her stand up clips and sketches. In 2022 her debut nationwide Ireland stand up tour “Mad Isn’t It” was a sell out with seven dates at Dublin’s Vicar Street.
In the same year Emma co-wrote and starred in sketch show “No Worries if Not” on RTE, the second series of which was released in January 2025. Emma currently co-hosts the podcast Keep It Tight with Deirdre O’Kane and her book Mad Isn’t It was published by Gill Books in 2024 to critical acclaim, reaching number 4 on the bestseller list. It is a hilarious and moving memoir about family, friendship, (young) motherhood and taking risks.
Her highly anticipated latest stand-up show, Dilemma is currently touring the UK and Ireland to sold-out venues, establishing herself as one of Ireland and the UK’s most sought-after comedians.
