Sharifa Butterfly is a London-based stand-up comedian, model and hip-hop dancer.
She burst onto the stand-up scene in 2022 at an open mic in Edinburgh and since then has won the King Gong at the Comedy Store, the Top Secret Gong Show and the Vauxhall Ding Dong Gong. She was a finalist in the Funny Women Stage Award (2025), and the Beat The Frog World Series (2024), and a semi-finalist in the BBC New Comedian of the Year Award (2025). Her material is both relatable and absurd, and her energetic and highly physical stage presence is unmatched.
Sharifa has opened for Michele De Swart and featured on Mo Gilligan’s Brunch Show. In 2026 she was announced as a cast member on a new BBC Studios series for YouTube, ‘The Girls Are Talking’. She has over 160k followers on social media where fans can see stand-up, dance and comedy clips.
