31st October – The UK’s number 1 political podcast, The Political Party with Matt Forde, will be released daily from 11th November in the lead up to the December General Election. The news arrives as 5 extra London dates have been added to Forde’s nationwide tour of his hit show Brexit, Pursued By A Bear, starting with the Southbank Centre on 9th November. Recorded and released on the same day, Forde will observe the best and most bizarre moments of party campaign trails and feature interviews with leading political figures. Previous guests on the podcast include Nicola Sturgeon, Ken Clarke, George Osborne, Tony Blair, Alastair Campbell, Ruth DavidsonNigel Farage, Harriet HarmanJacob Rees-Mogg and Rory Stewart to name a few. The Political Party Podcast live show’s monthly residency at The Other Palace Theatre has totally sold out for over 5 years, and in 2018 Matt began releasing weekly studio recorded episodes too. The podcast has accrued over 2.7 million downloads, and in 2018 received a Best Comedy Podcast nomination from the British Podcast Awards in addition to being nominated for the Internet Award at the Chortle Awards.

Already in 2019, Matt has been invited to chair the One Nation Conservative leadership hustings, interviewing Michael GoveMatt HancockJeremy Hunt and Dominic Raab, to host the People’s Vote rally featuring speeches from figures including Luciana Berger, Vince CableMichael Heseltine and Caroline Lucas and to debate Britain’s withdrawal from the EU with Tony Blair for the Institute Of Global Change.  A former advisor to the Labour Party, Matt has hosted four series of Unspun on Dave.
