It was announced today, Wednesday 17th July, that co-host of Radio X’s Sunday morning show Ed Gamble will perform at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Friday 20th December on the final date of his twice extended UK stand-up tour Blizzard, which he has just recorded as a comedy special for release later this year. Tickets for the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire show are on pre-sale this Friday 19th July.
Ed has just been unveiled as one of the 5 competitors in the forthcoming series of the multi award-winning smash hit Taskmaster (Dave) and continues his role as a regular panellist on Mock the Week (BBC Two). His TV stand-up appearances include Live At The Apollo (BBC Two), The Royal Variety Performance (ITV), The Russell Howard Hour (Sky One), Live at the Comedy Store (Comedy Central), and Conan (TBS). His numerous guest appearances include Hypothetical (Dave), The Apprentice: You’re Fired (BBC Two), I’ll Get This (BBC Two), Richard Osman’s House of Games (BBC Two), Jon Richardson’s Ultimate Warrior (Dave), Insert Name Here (BBC Two), and Roast Battle UK (Comedy Central).
Ed is also the co-host of the hugely successful mega-hit podcast Off Menu with James Acaster, which has just commenced its second series returning to #1 on the iTunes charts. He first came to prominence playing Georgie Carlton in two series of Almost Royal (BBC America/E4/Netflix) and appeared in two episodes of Greg Davies’ sitcom Man Down (Channel 4), as well as co-writing the fourth series.
