It was announced today, Monday 1st April, that award-winning comedian and star of Mock the Week (BBC Two) and chart-topping Off Menu podcast Ed Gamble will record his first stand-up special, which will be captured over two performances at London’s Leicester Square Theatre on 12th May at 5.30pm and 8pm. Tickets are now on sale.

Ed’s hugely popular UK tour of Blizzard recently doubled in size due to extraordinary demand across the run, following on from the success of selling out his latest hour at the Festival Fringe, which also had extra dates added to meet demand.

As well as continuing his role as a regular panellist on Mock the Week (BBC Two), Ed’s credits include numerous guest appearances on The Apprentice: You’re Fired (BBC Two), I’ll Get This (BBC Two), Richard Osman’s House of Games (BBC Two), Jon Richardson’s Ultimate Warrior (Dave), Insert Name Here (BBC Two), and Roast Battle UK (Comedy Central), stand-up appearances on Live At The Apollo (BBC Two), The Royal Variety Performance (ITV), The Russell Howard Hour (Sky One), headlining Live at the Comedy Store (Comedy Central), and Conan (TBS).

Ed first came to prominence playing Georgie Carlton in two series of Almost Royal (BBC America/E4/Netflix). He appeared in two episodes of Greg Davies’ sitcom Man Down (Channel 4), as well as co-writing the fourth series.

Ed has recently launched the hugely successful Off Menu podcast with co-host James Acaster. It immediately went to number one in the iTunes charts where it continues to flourish.
