“It’s a rare and joyous thing to see a stand up so vibrant and imperiously on top of his game”

“Chowdhry’s laconic delivery and equal-opportunity observational comedy find him mocking almost every ethnic group, without resorting to tired cliché”
Stephen Armstrong, The Sunday Times
“It has seemed to happen without many people noticing, but Paul Chowdhry has become something of a big deal…Chowdhry draws heavily on his Sikh ancestry as a source of comedy, but you never get the sense that he’s selling out his background for cheap laughs, more that Chowdhry’s an equal-opportunity piss-taker who mocks the eccentricities of his traditional Indian father as readily as he’ll rip into the white yobs you might meet on a Friday Night. It’s an angle of attack that’s more common among US comics and Chowdhry does this stuff as slickyl and effectively as anyone on the other side of the Atlantic.”
James Kettle, The Guardian
Paul Chowdhry has announced an extension of his first nationwide tour in two years, with his brand new show Live innit. 17 shows have been added from 3rd February after phenomenal demand saw multiple shows sell out within hours of going on sale, including two nights at London’s legendary Hammersmith Apollo on 10th and 11th November. Extra dates had already been added across the country, including a performance at The SSE Wembley Arena on 22nd November.
Following the spectacular success of his previous sell out nationwide tour – 2015’s three times extended PC’s World, which sold approximately 100,000 tickets across 100 shows – Live Innit sees Paul addressing love in the cyber age, trolling the trolls, and an unfortunate case of mistaken identity. Paul said “the Live innit tour has sold out almost everywhere (apart from the racist towns). I’m gonna add extra dates so people stop abusing me online. This extension will be better than the one at my Uncles’ house in Southall in 1980.”
Live innit is Paul’s third nationwide tour, following PC’s World, and 2012’s What’s Happening White People, which was recorded on DVD at a sold out Hammersmith Apollo and subsequently aired three times on Channel 4. On TV, PAUL hosted Stand Up for the Week (Channel 4), and has twice headlined Live at the Apollo (BBC One/Two). Recently he was also a contestant on the third series of Dave’s multi-award nominated hit show Taskmaster, presented by Greg Davies and Alex Horne, and featuring guests including Frank Skinner, Al Murray, Katherine Ryan, Noel Fielding, and Mel Giedroyc. Paul appeared four times on Channel 4’s Comedy Gala, alongside comics including Lee Evans and Michael McIntyre, and has also regularly appeared on shows such as 8 Out Of 10 Cats (Channel 4), Very British Problems (Channel 4), and Celebrity Squares (ITV). As an actor, he has appeared in films alongside John Malkovich, Martin Freeman, Ewan McGregor, Anna Friel, Thandie Newton, Jerry Stiller, and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Online, Paul is also a prolific presence on social media, and his videos have been viewed over 35million times on Facebook.
