If you venture into this awkward yet ultimately rewarding late-night show, you may well come out of it thinking that Drennon Davis is a bit of a genius

LA Weekly’s Top 10 Comedy Acts to Watch DRENNON DAVIS will return to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with the cult alternative hit The Imaginary Radio Programme after sell out runs at festivals including SXSW, SF Sketchfest, Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Riot LA Alternative Comedy Festival, and Moontower Comedy Festival. He will be performing from the 3rd to 27th August at Just The Tonic, The Cask Room at 5pm.
The Imaginary Radio Programme is a devilishly dark parody of American radio taking a skeptical, satirical look at U.S. consumer culture. Expect a channel hopping journey through the American way of life in this frenzied show packed full of musical impressions including everything from HOWARD STERN-esque shock jocks, tacky local stations, and esoteric music shows.
Originally produced by THE PAJAMA MEN, The Imaginary Radio Programme features live generated music, beat-boxing, one-man sketches, and special guests previously including REGGIE WATTS, PETER SERAFINOWICZ, and SAM SIMMONS. This year’s run features rotating guests NICK STARGU (San Fransisco Sketch Fest, SXSW, Viceland), JIM HICKOX (Andy Kaufman Awards), ZACK SHERWIN (My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), NICK VATTEROTT (Comedy Central Presents) with others to be announced.
The show was also featured on its own episode of The Comedy Show Show, the US comedy series which DRENNON also provided the theme music for on VOD service Seeso.
DRENNON has appeared on Conan (TBS), Adam Devine’s House Party (Comedy Central), and Last Call (NBC). His animated show The Long Legs can be seen on MTV’s animation showcase New Liquid Television. He is also working on a project with global content creators Fullscreen to come in 2017. DRENNON was a semi-finalist on Last Comic Standing (NBC) and was named LA Weekly’s Best Comedy Duo with KAREN KILGARIFF and Splitsider’s Top 10 Up & Coming Acts in LA.

If Davis isn’t the world’s foremost radio impressionist he’s definitely tuned somewhere near the top…The Imaginary Radio Program may just be the most inspiring show about what you can create when your entire world revolves around radio, and not just your genitals
