PIERRE NOVELLIE ANNOUNCES SOHO THEATRE RUN WITH HIT FRINGE SHOW, ‘MUST WE?’

“a pleasure to behold… a strikingly impressive observational act”
Jay Richardson, The Scotsman

“Impeccably told…a master of withering sarcasm…providing that oh-so-elusive ‘really funny hour of comedy'”
Steve Bennett, Chortle

“Novellie is master of traditional standup, able to ramp up the absurdity of his everyday observations until they erupt into side-splitting flights of fancy”

Rachel Aroesti, The Guardian

Award winning comedian Pierre Novellie will be returning to London’s Soho Theatre with his critically acclaimed show, ‘Must We?’. After a month-long, sold out run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, including extra dates due to incredible demand, Pierre will be performing at Soho Theatre (Downstairs) from Monday 10th – Saturday 22nd March 2025 (7.15pm). This announcement follows the end of Pierre’s biggest ever tour across the UK and Ireland with his critically acclaimed show, ‘Why Are You Laughing?’. It also comes after the publication of Pierre’s first book – ‘Why Can’t I Just Enjoy Things? A Comedian’s Guide to Autism’ which explores neurodiversity and Pierre’s own diagnosis of autism (which he hilariously received from a heckler in the run up to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2022). Since its publication it has been highly praised with reviews describing it as essential reading.

Must We?’ sees Pierre deliver another hour of stand-up jam-packed with smart, flawlessly delivered gags. The show is a deep dive into life through Pierre’s eyes, touching on life’s fairness and expectations as well as his signature observational routines. His run at the Fringe saw him make the list of best-reviewed shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2024 (British Comedy Guide), marking his third consecutive year in the list of best shows of the festival.

Previous praise for Pierre Novellie

packed full of belly laughs…impressively well written, perfectly building and building and rich with detail – each topic could be a full show on its own. Novellie delivers it all with real astuteness and skill, at once relaxed and arresting
Sharon Lougher, Metro

Hilarious…he will go far
Dominic Maxwell, The Times

the laughs keep coming… Novellie is every inch the assured, smart-jacketed storyteller… Novellie might not be a fan of them but this clearly warrants a handful of his dreaded crying laughing emojis
