LUKE KEMPNER, HIS WIFE ALANA AND HER SISTER LISA, AKA THE MAC TWINS, TEAM UP TO LAUNCH BRAND NEW PODCAST SERIES SH*T! I MARRIED A TWIN

Comedian and impressionist Luke Kempner is teaming up with his wife Alana Macfarlane Kempner and her identical twin sister/co-conspirator Lisa Macfarlane, otherwise known as celebrated presenters, business owners, gut health activists and DJs – The Mac Twins, to launch a brand-new weekly podcast series – Sh*t! I Married a Twin. Produced by Avalon (Sha*ged. Married. Annoyed with Chris & Rosie Ramsey, Taskmaster The Podcast, Older & Wider with Jenny Eclair & Judith Holder), the first episode is available this Thursday 27th April.

What happens when you marry a person that’s already got their partner in crime? The package deal you didn’t ask for? Join Luke, Lisa and Alana in ironing out their family dynamics, whilst helping you with yours along the way. Because no family’s perfect, right? Right?

With plenty of stories, arguments, and endless WhatsApp bickering, the trio are not only going to try and settle their own disputes but also their listeners’ family gripes, whatever and however crazy they might be.

Luke said, “I have spent 11 years chatting funny, annoying, savage sh*t with these two jokers. I’m delighted and petrified to share it with the world.”

Alana added, “We’re excited to help solve everyone else’s family dramas and at the same time probably realise everyone is just as dysfunctional as we are!”

Lisa added, “I’m both nervous and excited to share the ridiculous conversations the 3 of us have and for our dirty laundry to be well and truly aired.”

The last year has seen comedian and impressionist Luke star in Spitting Image the live musical and voice two series of the TV series (Britbox) and as a regular on Steph’s Packed Lunch (Channel 4).  Other TV appearances include The Last Leg (Channel 4), ITV2’s Stand-Up Sketch Show, Love Island Aftersun, It Takes Two (BBC2) and Celebrity Karaoke Club (ITV2).  Luke is also familiar to television audiences with his regular appearances in the BAFTA winning Murder in Successville (BBC3), and as the breakout star of The Imitation Game on ITV1, which led to an appearance on The Royal Variety Performance (ITV1). His other credits include Celebability, Hey Tracey (ITV2) and Pointless Celebrities (BBC1). Luke created and starred in his own review show for ITV2, entitled Luke Kempner’s Impression of 2015 and was the resident comedian on Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On The Side (Channel 5) for 9 series. He is also a regular on BBC Radio 4’s topical comedy institutions The Now Show and News Jack. He is taking his brand new one-man British Police Drama – Luke Kempner – Gritty Police Drama to Edinburgh this summer following a successful national run with Macho Macho Man last year.

Alana and Lisa, aka The Mac Twins, have done everything from hosting the Hogmanay annual street party to over 90,000 revellers, DJ’d at the Olympics, resided as ITV’s Official Love Island DJ’s, presented on the Brits red carpet, performed at Wembley and Twickenham Stadiums, hosted regular live radio shows for BBC 1xtra and Virgin Radio, spoken at the top health and wellness events, and now they can add co-creators and presenters of their very own ground breaking, critically acclaimed primetime Channel 4 series Know Your Sh!t: Inside Our Guts to the list. Having taken part in Twins UK research at King’s College London, they discovered that despite sharing identical DNA, they shared only 30% of the same gut bacteria. This discovery led to the launch of The Gut Stuff in 2017. From starting as a YouTube series and taking over tube stations, it’s now grown into best-selling books, an FMCG snacking range everywhere from Boots to Morrisons, a corporate wellness series (VISA, Aegon, Facebook) and seen them speaking across the World everywhere from Stylist Live to scientific conferences and The Guardian to Sky News.

Sh*t! I Married a Twin with Luke, Alana & Lisa launches on Thursday 27th April, available on Itunes & Spotify and all mainstream podcast providers.
