JENNY ECLAIR AND JUDITH HOLDER, CO-WRITERS OF INTERNATIONALLY SUCCESSFUL GRUMPY OLD WOMEN LIVE STAGE SHOWS BRING THEIR PODCAST SERIES ‘OLDER AND WIDER’ TO THE LONDON STAGE THIS SUMMER

It was announced today (Friday 24th March 2023) that award-winning comedian and star of the latest series of international hit show Taskmaster (Channel 4) which airs this month, Jenny Eclair and producer and writer Judith Holder are bringing their highly successful podcast Older And Wider to the London stage, with a series of live Sunday afternoon matinee performances taking place at the Leicester Square Theatre on Sunday 11th June and Sunday 2nd July at 3.00pm.

The live show will be an interactive extravaganza featuring games, sit down audience participation, hypochondriac’s bingo, and a Q&A with the audience.

Jenny said, ‘Judith and I haven’t been onstage together since Latitude Festival when Judith got so overexcited, she got uncharacteristically drunk after the gig and ended up vomiting into a washing up bowl.’

Judith said, ‘Show finishes in time to get home, break open some mini cheddars and undo the bra in front of The Antiques Roadshow. F**k yes. What’s not to love?’

The internationally successful co-writers of Grumpy Old Women launched their podcast back in December 2018 and kept it going every week throughout lockdown.  Almost 200 episodes and 5 million downloads later, the podcast has gone from strength to strength picking up a loyal gang following of OWLS (Older and Wider Listeners) along the way.

Every Friday, from South London (Jenny) and Oxfordshire (Judith) overshare, gossip and chat about their 60 something lives, tackling subjects such as, dry cracked heels, Judith’s handbag and liquorice addiction, Jenny’s alarming visible darning habit and their slightly competitive Nana commitments, (Judith wins, she scored twins).  With regular favourites such as ‘Hypochondriacs Corner’ and ‘Taste Sensation of the Week’, the Older and Wider podcast has fast become a snort out loud sanity saver for like -minded women up and down the country and increasingly all over the world (true).

Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday from https://www.leicestersquaretheatre.com/older-and-wider-live/
