AVALON APPOINTS JENELLE LINDSAY AS EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF TELEVISION

LOS ANGELES – March 2nd 2023 – It was announced today that Jenelle Lindsay will join Avalon as Executive Vice President of Television, based in Los Angeles. Lindsay will oversee the creative team developing and producing scripted series for the studio. Lindsay joins the global talent management and production group at a time of continued growth for the company, with over 40 active productions last year and a substantial slate of development projects in the pipeline.

Jenelle Lindsay comes to Avalon from Unanimous Media, where she was President of the production company founded by NBA superstar Stephen Curry. At Unanimous Lindsay launched numerous projects including the hit TV series Holey Moley (ABC); the Sundance and Apple+ film Underrated with producer Ryan Coogler; a new animated Good Times (Netflix) series with Norman Lear and Seth McFarlane; as well as an upcoming scripted TV comedy for NBC and films for Amazon and Disney+. Prior to Unanimous, Lindsay served as SVP of Development and Production at Sony Pictures Television, and SVP of Development and Production at Ashton Kutcher’s Katalyst Media, having started her career as a TV writer.

Lindsay will work closely with the distinctive client roster at Avalon, which includes multi-hyphenates, actors, writers and directors.  Avalon’s client roster has expanded meaningfully in recent years with the partnership with literary talent at The Agency and has seen the addition of 6 new managers in the US including the most recent hire of Stevee Jo Eads, who joins the company after a decade at CAA in the motion picture department.

Avalon’s client list includes, Adam DeVine, Adrian Lester, Daniel Radcliffe, Freddie Highmore, Iliza Shlesinger, Imelda Staunton, John Oliver, Lesley Manville, Marc Maron, Reggie Watts, Rob Delaney, Rose Matafeo, Russell Howard, Sam Jay, Toby Jones and Will Sharpe; screenwriters, amongst many others, Andrew Davies (House of Cards), Heidi Thomas (Call The Midwife), Kate Brooke (Discovery of Witches), Paul Abbott (Shameless), Russell T Davies (Doctor Who/It’s a Sin), Sally Wainwright (Happy Valley), Stephen Butchard (The Last Kingdom), Tony McNamara (The Great), as well as directors including Chris Addison, Matthew Warchus and Sam Mendes.

Lindsay joins the company March 6th and will be based at the company’s Los Angeles headquarters.  David Martin, who launched Avalon’s US business nearly 20 years ago, will become Executive Director, overseeing the growing US artist management team and continuing to executive produce various active television projects.
