COMEDIAN AND THE LOL WORD CO-FOUNDER CHLOE PETTS ADDS EXTRA DATES OF DEBUT SHOW ‘TRANSIENCE’ TO UK TOUR DUE TO PHENOMENAL DEMAND

PRAISE FOR TRANSIENCE

“barnstormer of a Fringe debut. It speaks to a lot of the themes of her luminously intelligent set, which tackles hot topics like gender and toxic masculinity in a calm and, crucially, hilarious way… In short, I adored this… this is certainly comedy that packs a punch.”
Gwendolyn Smith, The i ★★★★★

“one of our most compelling young comics… a first show that was worth waiting for.”
Brian Logan, The Guardian ★★★★

“it’ll be tough to match this astonishingly assured debut from Petts… You’ll learn things, but you’ll laugh even more.”
Sharon Lougher, Metro ★★★★

“One of the most accomplished Fringe debuts ever”
Bruce Dessau, Evening Standard ★★★★

Following her sold-out run at London’s Soho Theatre earlier this year, one of the most exciting new acts on the comedy circuit, rising star Chloe Petts (Hypothetical, Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club and The Stand-Up Sketch Show) announces extra dates of her debut show, Transience, for her UK tour. A brilliantly sharp live performer, in this debut hour Chloe uses her trademark cerebral “laddishness” to examine her desperate attempts at living in the moment, the darts and her (strictly non-romantic) love for men who watch it. Fresh off the back from supporting Ed Gamble on his Electric 2022 UK tour and her debuting the show at this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Chloe will kick off the extension of dates from 4th January with a return to Soho Theatre, Downstairs.

Tickets are on sale now. Full dates and tickets at chloepetts.org

Co-founder of The LOL Word, an all women and non-binary queer comedy collective “transforming comedy” (The Guardian) regularly hosting sell-out monthly London nights, Chloe is an alumna of the prestigious Pleasance Comedy Reserve, has been shortlisted for the BBC Comedy Award, was a finalist of Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year Awards 2017 and came runner-up in the Funny Women Awards 2017. As well as supporting Ed Gamble on tour, she has performed alongside Josh Widdicome and Sindu Vee.

On television and radio, Chloe is a regular on both The Frank Skinner Show (Absolute Radio) and Good Morning Euros (Sky Sports) for the UEFA Women’s Euros, and has appeared on Jonathan Ross’s Comedy Club (ITV), The Stand-Up Sketch Show (ITV2), Richard Osman’s House of Games (BBC Two), Random Acts (Channel 4), Hypothetical (Dave), Fighting Talk (BBC Radio 5 Live), BBC Three Quickies (BBC Three), as well as recently winning Pointless Celebrities (BBC One). In 2020, Chloe featured on Penguin’s audiobook Edinburgh Unlocked which was recorded in absence of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
