Iain recently created, wrote and starred in Buffering (ITV2), a 6-part sitcom following Iain, a children’s TV presenter with an aversion to kids, and his friends who are all navigating that age where they’re too old for nightclubs but too poor for mortgages. Part of a generation who are told they must live the perfect life, these friends discover it’s not only ok but healthy to fail, over and over again.

Iain is best known as the acclaimed voice of the hit BAFTA-winning reality show Love Island (ITV2) spanning seven series. Following the success of Love Island, he appeared in series eight of Taskmaster (Dave) and hosted four series of CelebAbility (ITV2). Iain co-wrote and hosted six series of the comedy panel show The Dog Ate My Homework (CBBC) which saw him win 2018’s RTS Scotland’s On-Screen Personality and 2017’s Children’s BAFTA Best Presenter Award (2017).
An Edinburgh Festival Fringe favourite, Iain has performed five sold-out and critically acclaimed shows, including U OK Hun? X (2017) which sold out the entire Edinburgh Fringe run in advance.

What The Press Said About Buffering
“a level of expertise that clearly shows… tear-jerking and heart-warming.”
Alexi Duggins, The Times
“Buffering does have the pacey feel of an American sitcom with storylines and jokes jostling for your attention… the plot is more ambitious than you might expect for ITV2…Bugeja was big on structure, Stirling wanted to get as many jokes in as possible. Judging by the first episode they have reached a successful compromise”
Bruce Dessau, Evening Standard
“a funny sitcom…a meditation on the myriad challenges of millennial life.…zippy, gag-dense”
Rachel Aroesti, The Guardian
Mark Wareham, The Mail on Sunday
