A lot of people wake up at 30 and wonder what they did with their 20’s. Kieran knows exactly what he did with his – he threw them all into an incredibly fun, occasionally successful, frequently reckless and often disapproved-of sketch group. Now the group has disbanded, he’s making sense of the present while having flashbacks about the past. Crashing the Party showcases Kieran as an infectious storyteller, canny joke-writer and brilliant company.
After 9 live shows, 2 national tours, 3 series of BBC3 sketch shows and a Channel 4 pilot, things were looking up for WitTank (‘Smart, psychotic, and very funny’ The List). Then the group fell out, made up, and called it a day just in time for two of them to be best men at the third’s wedding. With tales from the heady days of performing the chaotic and much-loved shows that made them a Fringe favourite, Crashing the Party is a hilarious patchwork of stories about life before, during and after the wheels come off and the tank runs dry.
As well as being one third of WitTank, Kieran performs his inventive, high-energy stand-up across the UK. 2020 has so far seen him support Ed Byrne and Ed Gamble on tour. Kieran has also performed at the Edinburgh Festival as part of The Comedy Zone, the Fringe’s longest running and most prestigious stand-up showcase.
With acclaimed sketch trio WitTank, Kieran enjoyed nine years of sold-out audiences at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe as well as numerous gigs and comedy festivals in the UK and Ireland. They received a Best Show Nomination at the Leicester Comedy Festival and appeared on Three at the Fringe (BBC3) and BBC Radio Scotland. WitTank were stars of 3 series of the acclaimed comedy show, Live At the Electric (BBC3) and filmed their own sitcom pilot for E4.
