SOUTHBANK CENTRE, PURCELL ROOM – SATURDAY 18TH APRIL

Laugh-out loud funny ̣̣̣̣ The Telegraph

A sparky proposition The Independent

Hot on the heels of multiple sold-out runs across the UK, which had extra dates added to meet huge demand for tickets, Best Newcomer Nominee 2019 Sophie Duker announces a special final performance of the critically-acclaimed hit show Venus at Southbank Centre’s Purcell Room on Saturday 18th April, and tickets are on sale from Monday 24th February.

Sophie Duker is your Venus, she’s your fire, your desire. Or is she? Silly, sexy, savage stand-up from a girl who’s definitely not a goddess. In her hotly anticipated full-fat woke debut hour Sophie takes her audience on an unconventional journey of self-discovery. The celebrated show was featured as a top show to see in The Scotsman, The Guardian, The Evening Standard, Stylist, Time Out, Joe.co.uk, Fest Mag, Funny Women, To Do List, I Talk Telly, and GQ featured one of her jokes in their Best Jokes at the Fringe.

Sophie co-hosts Grown Up Land on BBC Radio 4 and is the creator and host of the Evening Standard recommended comedy night Wacky Racists. She has appeared on Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Riot Girls, BBC Two’s Mock The Week and Frankie Boyle’s New World Order, Comedy Central’s Roast Battle, and E4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats.
