Matt Richardson confronts adulthood in his new Edinburgh Fringe show 'Imposter'

“Hilarious and charming” The Mirror

Hot on the heels of his most recent and successful live stand-up show, Slash, host of Virgin Radio’s Drivetime show, TV presenter and comedian Matt Richardson is bringing his brand new show Imposter to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, from 1st to 25th August at 9pm at The Tron, Just the Tonic.

Imposter tells the story of Matt’s adventures in showbiz and television, and how he deals with the imposter syndrome that accompanies these worlds. He doesn’t just feel like an imposter in show business, but in the business of being an adult in general. Imposter is an hour of unrestrained, raucous laughs, where audience interaction and impromptu tangents mean anything can happen, promising a unique show every night.

Matt is the only comedian presenting his Virgin Radio Drivetime show and will be coming live from the Fringe this year. TV work includes hosting The Hangover Games (E4) The Xtra Factor (ITV2) and Just Tattoo Of Us (MTV) and has appeared on The Chase (ITV), CelebAbility (ITV2), Westworld: The Story So Far, (Sky Atlantic), Top Gear – Extra Gear (BBC Three), The Chris Ramsey Show (Comedy Central), Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC Two), Celebrity Juice (ITV2), Drunk History (Comedy Central), Sweat the Small Stuff (BBC Three), It’s Not Me It’s You (Channel 5), Fake Reaction (ITV2), and I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Now! (ITV2). In 2017 Matt brought his debut solo show Slash to the Fringe, which played to critical acclaim.
