It was announced today that critically acclaimed stand-up comedian Chris Ramsey’s brand new stand-up show will be filmed for broadcast in front of a very special homecoming crowd at the Newcastle Tyne Theatre on Thursday 27th June. The recording of the TV special named Chris Ramsey Live Special: 2019 (TX tbc) follows hot on the heels of Chris’s sell out 106 date nationwide tour Chris Ramsey Live 2018: The Just Happy To Get Out Of The House Tour with a stand-up special which aired earlier this year over on Comedy Central.
Expect more of Chris’ high energy, life affirming, trademark stand up as he gives us his hilarious take on everything from the big issues to the small issues to the issues that need tissues.
Chris said, “I’m absolutely over the moon to be filming a brand new stand up special for 2019. I’m thrilled to be recording in front of my hometown crowd too, and very much look forward to seeing the smattering of angry faces that always appear in the audience when I slightly tweak my accent so that the rest of the world can understand me.”
Away from the live stage, Chris has appeared on TV hosting The Chris Ramsey Show, and Stand Up Central (Comedy Central) I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp (ITV2) and Virtually Famous (E4), as well as performing on the Royal Variety Performance (ITV), Live at the Apollo (BBC1) and as a regular on Celebrity Juice (ITV2). He also starred as Jack in two series of critically-acclaimed sitcom Hebburn (BBC2), co-starring Vic Reeves and alongside his wife Rosie on Married to a Celebrity and Parenting for Idiots (Channel 4). Chris and Rosie have recently launched a brand new podcast series – Shagged. Married. Annoyed and have just hit 1,000,000 listens. Chris has over 400,000 followers on Twitter.
