Something new is happening in comedy The Independent
Building on from the success of a sell-out, critically acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Lou Sanders presents her best and most confessional show yet, Shame Pig, at Soho Theatre from 25th – 29th September.
Exploring the themes of shame, sobriety and unrequested sex, this little pig is discussing the big topics like spirituality, shamans and dangly labias. Shame Pig is a show about transcending experiences and rejecting labels rather than letting them define or limit us. Wallow in the muck with this unique talent as she performs her most grown-up show to date.
Consistently a critic’s favorite, Shame Pig has been selected as a top show to see this year in The Mirror, The Guardian, The Scotsman, The List, The Daily Express, and Edinburgh Festivals Magazine and played to sold-out audiences every day of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
On TV, Lou has recently appeared on 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4), Karl Pilkington’s new sitcom Sick of It (Sky One), The Russell Howard Hour (Sky One), Red Nose Day Stand Off for Comic Relief (BBC One), twice appeared on Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled (Dave) and can be heard on The Unbelievable Truth (BBC Radio 4). Her writing credits include 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Mock The Week and Miranda Hart’s live tour. She also co-hosts podcast Why Is Your Bottom So Dirty? with fellow comedian Luke McQueen.
