It was announced today (Thursday 1st February) that in response to the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall show selling-out immediately, the team behind the smash hit podcast My Dad Wrote A Porno are set to take London by storm with the largest podcast gig in history at the Royal Albert Hall on the 21st June 2018. The news coincides with a third consecutive New York City Town Hall show on 2nd March being added to the US leg, which kick-starts this international tour, as multiple dates sell out there too and others are reaching capacity.
From 22nd February to 21st June, Jamie Morton and his best mates James Cooper and Radio 1 DJ Alice Levine are now set to perform their hilarious live adaption which includes reading a ‘lost chapter’ from his dad’s notoriously brilliant Belinda Blinked saga over 33 dates in the States and UK. Details of a European tour extension will be made available soon.
With over 100 million global downloads, spawning a best-selling book and converting Hollywood megastars Elijah Wood, Michael Sheen and Daisy Ridley into mega-fans, My Dad Wrote A Porno has become ‘a cultural phenomenon’ (The Sunday Times) and recently scooped the prestigious European Lovie Award. Series 4 will be released later this year and TV and motion picture adaptations are all being developed.
A special podcast Footnotes episode recorded from within the Royal Albert Hall will be available to listen to today (1st February) from 4pm.
Tickets for the Royal Albert Hall are available on general sale tomorrow, Friday 2nd February at 9am via www.mydadwroteaporno.com (all other tickets are available here now)
