VOICE OF LOVE ISLAND IAIN STIRLING ANNOUNCES GIG AT LONDON’S EVENTIM APOLLO ON 22ND MARCH 2018 AS PART OF UK TOUR EXTENSION TO MEET DEMAND FOR TICKETS

At his best the Edinburgh native is an unhinged free-form anecdotist – his closing tale of a disastrous CBBC gig is a belter ★ ★ ★ ★ Mail On Sunday, Mark Wareham

A show with a dark edge but delivered with utmost skill and affability…It’s always a treat to see such talent in such an intimate space. Expect this performer to be playing to huge arenas long after Love Island star Marcel Somerville’s book has begun gathering dust. ★ ★ ★ ★ Metro, Sharon Lougher

After selling out his entire run in advance and adding extra shows to meet demand for tickets at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August, BAFTA-winning stand-up comedian Iain Stirling (voice of Love Island) announces a U OK Hun? X tour extension including a performance at London’s Eventim Apollo show on 22nd March. The news comes as multiple gigs such as Leicester Square Theatre have already sold out and others are approaching capacity. From 1st February to 26th May 2018, Iain is now set to perform a 51-date nationwide tour with his new show exploring dinner party etiquette and the pressures on a generation brought up in a world of instant gratification.

This summer, Iain enjoyed widespread critical acclaim for writing and voicing witty one-liners on ITV2’s hit BBC Radio 1 Teen Award winning and  National Television Award and Broadcast Award nominated series Love Island. The show smashed rating records, pulling in the channel’s biggest-ever audience of 2.9 million at its peak and attracting an average of 2.6 million tuning in to see it daily. He was also on our screens hosting CelebAbility, a brand-new physical comedy entertainment show on ITV2 which saw celebrities and members of the public go head-to-head in rounds of games.

Edinburgh-born Iain’s intuitive razor-sharp humour has seen him sell out 6 shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe to date and amass numerous television credits including Virtually Famous (E4), Drunk History and Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central (both Comedy Central), Russell Howard’s Good News and Sweat the Small Stuff (both BBC Three) and Fake Reaction and Safe Word (both ITV2).

Tickets for the tour extension are available on pre-sale tomorrow, Wednesday 18th October at 9am via www.seetickets.com, on Thursday 19th October at 9am via www.ticketmaster.co.uk and on general sale on Friday 20th October at 9am.

A full list of dates and tickets are available through Iain’s website www.iaindoesjokes.com
