“Destined for hugeness” Time Out
“Something New is happening in Comedy” The Independent
Building on the success of a critically acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe LOU SANDERS (as seen on Comedy Central, BBC1, BBC3, Channel 4, ITV, has no criminal record and is fully CRB checked) brings her latest show What’s That Lady Doing?’ to Soho Theatre from the 12th to 15th April.
Find out what that lady is doing as LOU brings you into her surreal world with mischievous monologues and offbeat observations in her fifth solo hour of stand-up. Known for her avant-garde comedy, LOU’s previous show ‘Excuse Me, You’re Sitting On My Penis Again’ followed the hapless attempts of a grown woman trying to get into Eton college. This time LOU gives you an insight into the life of a completely normal lady. Expect terrible beat poetry, some tips for life, and maybe some life affirmations.
LOU has recently performed a live stand-up set for BBC1 as part of the RUSSEL BRAND’s Stand-Up Hour for Comic Relief and has appeared twice on Alan Davies’ As Yet Untitled (Dave), she has performed on Comedy Up Late from the Melbourne Comedy Festival (ABC1), Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC3) and Big Brother’s Bit on the Side (E4), and been heard on Radio 4’s The Unbelievable Truth. She is also named as one of the top comics to see in Vogue, Elle, Time Out, The Times, The Independent and The Guardian. LOU has also written for 8 Out of 10 Cats, Mock the Week, Stand up for the Week, Miranda Hart, and has been awarded funding to write a feature film.
