Following sold out runs at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the Soho Theatre and at the Udderbelly festival, the stars of BBC Three’s Live at the Electric and BBC Radio 4’s Sketchorama, sketch maestros WITTANK invite you back into the ostentatiously furnished corridors of The School; a splendidly twisted world and an unsettling relic of Empire, where maniacal masters rub tweedy shoulders with sharp-tongued scoundrels and mystery and misrule abound. After their initial venue, London’s Bloomsbury Theatre, was closed abruptly due to the discovery of asbestos, join the boys for one night only at the Leicester Square Theatre on Thursday 29th October.
Building on the success of Old School Secrets, which follows on from their smash-hit 2013 Edinburgh festival show, The School,. WITTANK, who have previously featured on BBC Three’s showcase of the UK’s emerging comedy talent Live At The Electric, had a pilot commissioned by E4.
KIERAN BOYD was a semi-finalist in So You Think You’re Funny 2009 and the Amused Moose Laugh-Off 2010. At the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2009 and 2010 he compered the stand-up showcase, Comedy Baby, 2011 saw KIERAN perform in stand-up show Don’t Mess and direct a sketch show from The Leeds Tealights. In 2012, he performed in the Fringe’s longest running comedy showcase, The Comedy Zone.
MARK COOPER-JONES has performed on Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC Three), was a Chortle Best Newcomer nominee 2012 and Loaded Laftas runner-up 2011. MARK (Sir), is an authoritative stand-up with a penchant for rules and ‘Countries and Capitals’ tests, mainly due to his past experience as a geography teacher, which formed the basis of his highly successful debut hour Geography Teacher performed at Edinburgh Festival in 2014 (one of the Guardian’s top 5 newcomers). 2013 NAZ OSMANOGLU filmed Flat TV, a Comedy Feed for BBC Online, which was then commissioned for a BBC Three series. NAZ stars in the seventh series of Horrible Histories (CBBC) and has appeared in Plebs (ITV2) and will be appearing in Bull (UKTV Gold). He has also performed on BBC Three’s Live at the Electric as Spanish lothario ANTONIO. As a stand-up, NAZ has been winner of the Amused Moose Laugh-off Competition, Chortle Best Newcomer Nominee 2010, and runner-up in So You Think You’re Funny.
