MATT FORDE’S SPORTS PARTY TO BE BROADCAST ON TALKSPORT

Following the successful launch of Matt Forde’s Sports Party, a complement to MATT’S sold out and critically acclaimed Political Party, the show will be broadcast on talkSPORT and available as a podcast. The monthly comedy stand up chat show will celebrate sports and some of its biggest personalities in the intimate and informal environment created at St James Theatre and is the first time talkSPORT has broadcast a show following this format. The first night will take place on Thursday 16th October, with MATT to be joined by footballing legend JIMMY BULLARD andEdinburgh Comedy Award nominee ROMESH RANGANATHAN. Tickets are available now.

Former Premier League midfielder JIMMY BULLARD has played for Wigan, Hull, Fulham and Peterborough in a football career spanning 15 years. Having played under BARRY FRY, HARRY REDKNAPP and PHIL BROWN and appeared alongside names as diverse as NEIL RUDDOCK and PAOLO DI CANIO, JIMMY has acquired an incredible collection of tales and pranks which should contribute to a hilarious and insightful account of his tumultuous footballing career.

Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee 2014 and Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer nominee 2013, ROMESH RANGANATHAN is a well-known face on television screens with multiple credits including regularly presenting the topical C4 show Stand Up For The Week, starring on BBC1’s Live At The Apollo and appearing on BBC Two’s Mock The Week. As well-known on the stage, ROMESH won the Leicester Mercury New Act Award 2013 and has supported RICKY GERVAIS, BILL BURR and SEANN WALSH live.

MATT FORDE’s The Political Party, has been a sell-out during its monthly residency at Westminster’s St James Theatre. MATT has brought Parliament to life with his stand-up and debate with some of the Government’s most notorious figures, including ALASTAIR CAMPBELL, NIGEL FARAGE, ALAN JOHNSON, JACK STRAW, GEORGE GALLOWAY, MATTHEW PARRIS, STELLA CREASY and CHARLES CLARKE. His guest on 29th October will be MICHAEL PORTILLO. A Labour-advisor turned stand-up comedian, MATT is a frequent guest on current affairs shows. He has been a panellist on Have I Got News For You (BBC One) and 8 Out of 10 Cats, a sofa guest on This Week (BBC One), has appeared on Newsnight (BBC Two), Daily Politics (BBC One) and has performed stand-up and written for Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC Three). MATT recently co-hosted the Channel 4 documentary series Jon Richardson Grows Up with JON RICHARDSON. Other writing credits include 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4) and The Last Leg (Channel 4). MATT can be heard on the radio on The Now Show The News Quiz (both BBC Radio 4) and on his own weekly show on talkSPORT.
