Tom Shillue has long been one of my favourite storytellers. See his show! (Or, at the very least, read this quote!) Demetri Martin

He might be the best comedian I’ve ever been in a barbershop quartet with Jimmy Fallon

A brilliant comic. That’s why I’ve had him open for me all over the world Jim Gaffigan

US comic and storyteller TOM SHILLUE will make his UK debut at the Edinburgh Festival this August. Performing at the fringe under the recommendation of DANIEL KITSON, expect comedy and a bit of song as TOM takes us on a retrospective journey of his life beginning with childhood in New England in the 1970s through to today.

Known for his singing as well as his stand up, TOM SHILLUE has made appearances on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon (NBC) and The Tonight Show (NBC), both as a solo comic, and as part of barbershop quartet THE RAG TIME GALS. The group’s versions of “Sexy Back” with JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE and JASON DERULO’s hit song “Talk Dirty” with KEVIN SPACEY have had over eleven million views on YouTube.

A former correspondent on The Daily Show (Comedy Central), TOM SHILLUE has appeared in his own Comedy Central Special, on Late Night With Conan O’Brien, Last Comic Standing (NBC), Comics Unleashed, and in the feature film Mystery Team. TOM is a regular guest host of RedEye and THE FIVE (FoxNews), and is currently on the road with JIM GAFFIGAN as part of The White Bread Tour. In 2013, TOM released twelve consecutive comedy albums as part of his ambitious “12 in 12” project.

What the press have said about Tom Shillue

A pioneer of New York’s storytelling movement and it’s when Tom Shillue settles into one of his thoughtfully crafted, autobiographical stories that he really shines as a performer and a wit Time Out NY

Shillue’s timing is impeccable, and it is the patient listener who gets rewarded once his many threads are woven -seemingly all at once- into a masterful tapestry The Apiary
