America’s Number One Funniest Twitter Comic performs at Edinburgh Festival Fringe for Two Nights Only
ROB DELANEY comes to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for two nights only, seeing him perform at the festival for the first time. He sold out his debut UK run at the Soho Theatre last year in one hour, after just one tweet, making him the fastest selling US performer in the venue’s history. With close to one million followers, he has been named ‘Funniest Person on Twitter’ (Comedy Central Comedy Awards), beating comedy stalwarts STEVE MARTIN and STEPHEN COLBERT and is known as one of America’s most brilliant stand-ups, a regular at the top US comedy venues, and for appearances on shows such as Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Conan.
ROB, originally from Boston, regularly performs stand-up at the top comedy venues in Los Angeles, New York and various comedy clubs across the US. He now lives in Los Angeles, where he’s a fixture at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and the Hollywood Improv. His television credits in the UK include contributing writer on Channel 4’s The IT Crowd and MTV’s Ridiculousness and in the US, guest hosting for G4’s Attack of the Show, Comedy Central’s Key & Peele, Fuel TV’s The Daily Habit and the pilot movie Movie Nook for TBS. ROB has written his autobiography, to be published by Random House this autumn on 5th November 2013, and has created Rob Delaney’s War of Words, a board game based on his popular tweets. ROB also, incredibly, sings the national anthem for the Boston Red Sox and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
ROB DELANEY will also be performing on the Alternative Stage at both Reading and Leeds Festival on 23rd and 24th August and London’s Wonderground, South Bank Centre on 22nd and 23rd August 2013.
