JENNY is enormously pleased to be back in Edinburgh, despite the fact that doing stand-up gives her varicose veins and the damp makes her fungal, all support is gratefully received. ECLAIR has been doing Edinburgh since you lot were in nappies, Perrier winner, Grumpy Old Woman, ex Loose Woman and novelist, JENNY was recently described as ‘The Earl Grey Jaeger Bomb’ of the Melbourne International Comedy festival. Not for the lily- livered (or children)!
Following the success of her sell-out, extended 2010 tour Old Dog, New Tricks JENNY ECLAIR embarked on brand new stand-up tour Eclairious, which was extended into the spring of this year. This autumn will see JENNY unite with SUSIE BLAKE and KATE ROBBINS for brand new live show, Return of the Grumpy Old Women: Fifty Shades of Beige. JENNY is an acclaimed writer (sometimes it’s nice to just sit down), her third novel Life, Death & Vanilla Slices was released last summer to critical acclaim and will be released in paperback this August.
Previously JENNY has co-written and starred in Grumpy Old Women Live 2: Chin Up Britain on Tour in London’s West End and has starred in a number of other West End productions including Steaming, Mum’s The Word and The Vagina Monologues. JENNY came third in I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here (ITV1) and has done ‘acting’ on Holby City (BBC One) and Skins (E4). Her other television credits include Loose Women (ITV 1) Masterchef (BBC One), The Apprentice: You’re Fired (BBC Two), That Sunday Night Show (ITV1), The Chase: Celebrity Special (ITV1), Antiques Road Trip: Children in Need Special (BBC Two) and as a memorable contestant on both Celebrity Fame Academy (BBC One) and Let’s Dance for Sport Relief, (BBC One), where she reached the final alongside fellow Grumps SUSIE BLAKE, LESLEY JOSEPH and LINDA ROBSON. JENNY has hosted her own show on LBC radio, and is a regular contributor on shows such as BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, Just a Minute and 7 Day Sunday (BBC Radio 5 Live). She is also the author of Chin Up, Britain, The Book of Bad Behaviour and the co-author with JUDITH HOLDER of Grumpy Old Couples, and Wendy: The Bumper Book of Fun for Women of a Certain Age.
