=Winner of the Chortle Student Comedian of the Year Award, Comedy Central’s Funniest Student Award and former President of the Cambridge Footlights, PHIL WANG presents his first grown-up hour of stand-up comedy at the Edinburgh Festival. PHIL will be performing his debut show Anti-Hero; a collection of sharp observations and curious opinions, told with undue confidence, at the Pleasance Courtyard. Prepare to meet the biggest WANG in comedy.
PHIL is rapidly making a name for himself as one of Britain’s funniest Engineering graduates, having appeared on The Rob Brydon Show (BBC One), and been featured on Three at the Fringe (BBC Three). He was part of the Festival’s longest-running stand-up showcase, The Comedy Zone in 2011, which has previously launched the careers of DAVE GORMAN, HARRY HILL, STEWART LEE, AL MURRAY and CHRIS RAMSEY.
Last year, PHIL embarked on the Footlights International Tour, performing the Cambridge Footlights show, Perfect Strangers, around the UK and America with a sell-out month at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
