CARL HUTCHINSON, Amused Moose Best Show Nominee 2012 and CHRIS RAMSEY’s tour support,
will be at the Festival this August with his second hour of stand-up, showcasing his own brand of effortlessly charming but characteristically dry comedy.
Off-stage CARL is a polite, well-mannered guy who keeps himself to himself. On-stage, CARL is fearless. Quite often he just can’t help himself when reacting to annoying people or difficult situations. Last year, he decided he wanted to see what life would be like living like his on-stage persona. This newly liberated CARL let loose and found himself getting into a variety of confrontational situations and really enjoyed himself. One year later, which CARL remains? Was it a fully-fledged transformation or a one-off experiment?
Former Maths teacher CARL has been crowned the Magners Pub Comedian of the Year and the winner of the Beat the Frog World Series. He also reached the final of So You Think You’re Funny?and has been nominated for the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Award.
Alongside his Edinburgh show, CARL is spending 2013 supporting CHRIS RAMSEY on a UK tour, as well as opening for wrestling legend-turned-stand-up MICK FOLEY at various dates around the UK.
