Host of Dave’s Unspun, MATT FORDE brings his sell-out Political Party to London’s Leicester Square Theatre on Thursday 15th December for a one-off Christmas celebration with special guest ED BALLS and music from MP4, the world’s only parliamentary rock group.
Ed Balls, former Labour MP for Morley and Outwood, rose to fame as Gordon Brown’s closest adviser before becoming a Cabinet minister in his own right. He has recently won a new army of fans for his moves on Strictly Come Dancing. MP4 are: Kevin Brennan MP, Labour MP for Cardiff West (guitar and vocals); Ian Cawsey, former Labour MP for Brigg and Goole (bass guitar and vocals), The Rt Hon Sir Greg Knight MP, Conservative MP for East Yorkshire (drums and percussion) and Pete Wishart MP, SNP MP for Perth and North Perthshire (keyboards and vocals).
A former advisor to the Labour Party, Matt Forde recently wrote and hosted Unspun with Matt Forde, a new six-part series on Dave. Matt has appeared on The Royal Variety Performance (ITV) Have I Got News For You (BBC One), Mock The Week (BBC Two), Rory Bremner’s Coalition Report and Rory Bremner’s Election Report (BBC Two), 8 out of 10 Cats (Channel 4), Question Time, This Week (both BBC One), Newsnight and Daily Politics (both BBC Two).
The Political Party has sold out a monthly residency at Westminster’s St James Theatre since its inception in January 2013. MATT has brought Parliament to life with his stand-up and debate with some of the Government’s most notorious figures, including TONY BLAIR, ALASTAIR CAMPBELL, MICHAEL PORTILLO, NIGEL FARAGE, NEIL KINNOCK, JACOB REES-MOGG, JOHN PRESCOTT, JACK STRAW, DAME TESSA JOWELL, GEORGE GALLOWAY, JIM MURPHY and CHARLES CLARKE.
