packed full of belly laughs…impressively well written, perfectly building and building and rich with detail – each topic could be a full show on its own.  Novellie delivers it all with real astuteness and skill, at once relaxed and arresting

Multi-award nominated stand-up and regular Mash Report correspondent Pierre Novellie will return to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this summer, performing at the Pleasance Upstairs from 1st to 26th August at 7.15pm with his brand new show Hear Novellie, See Novellie, Speak Novellie.  The run will follow his critically acclaimed, sell-out performances at last year’s Fringe, which saw his show declared one of the top ten best-reviewed of the Festival by the British Comedy Guide.

At last year’s Fringe Pierre achieved the impossible by performing an hour of excellent stand-up comedy without a theme, message, moral or so much as a mention of a deceased father.  This time he will apply his genre-dodging approach to the world of satire, as he talks about politics without taking sides – achieving a world first for a comedian by neither slavishly endorsing Jeremy Corbyn nor pretending to be a hard-right troll in order to appear more attractive to television bookers.

On TV and radio, Pierre is a regular correspondent on BBC Two’s The Mash Report and has appeared on shows including Stand Up Central (Comedy Central), Joke Thieves (BBC Two), Outsiders (Channel 4), Edinburgh Comedy Fest Live (BBC Three), Taxi Gags (All 4) and The Rest is History (BBC Radio 4), while his writing credits include Mock the Week (BBC Two) and Newzoids (ITV).  As a live performer he has been nominated for Best Newcomer and twice for Best Club Comic at the Chortle Awards, and has supported Dave Gorman, Hal Cruttenden and Gary Delaney on tour, as well as performing four previous sell out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe.

I am almost embarrassed by the amount of involuntary noise that came out of my face during Pierre Novellie’s hysterically funny show…A genuinely hilarious comedian ★★★★★ Gemma Scott, Three Weeks

a blistering hour of outsider observational comedy that is packed with brilliantly nerdy contemplations…His exceptional conversational delivery makes for compelling stand-up★★★★ James McColl, The Skinny
