THE CHRIS RAMSEY SHOW RETURNS TO COMEDY CENTRAL AS CHANNEL’S FIRST EVER TOPICAL CHAT SHOW - NEW SERIES AIRS WEDNESDAY 28TH FEBRUARY AT 10PM

A brand new series of The Chris Ramsey Show will be bursting back onto our TV screens this February, but this time with a difference… In a first for Comedy Central UK, critically acclaimed stand-up comedian Chris Ramsey will host his very own weekly topical chat show.

Each week Chris will take a look back at the weird and wonderful stories and viral content from the world of entertainment, celebrity and social media that have grabbed his and the nation’s attention over the past week, and dissect the mayhem with the help of his two special guests who have joined him on the sofa.  Chris will also be leaving his basement studio and dropping in on some big name movie stars at their latest film junkets.  And every week will see a celebrity take on a comedian as they face a head-to-head challenge at the end of the show. Expect stand-up, chat, challenges, games, big names and even bigger laughs.  Recorded ‘as live’, The Chris Ramsey Show promises to be energetic and unpredictable – all brought together by Chris’s trademark cheeky Geordie humour and charm.

Guests already due to appear on the series include UK rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer Example, voice of Love Island and comedian Iain Stirling, star and creator of Murder In Successville Tom Davis and solo performance artist and storyteller Desiree Burch to name a few; Chris will bring them all into his world.

The first series of The Chris Ramsey Show premiered in January 2017 achieving an audience up 16% on the channel’s slot average with a huge 80% 16-34 audience profile. In series 1 Chris was joined by some of his funniest celebrity mates, including Jimmy Carr (8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown), Joel Dommett (I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!), Joey Essex (The Only Way is Essex), and Sara Pascoe (Mock the Week).

Chris has also appeared on TV hosting Stand Up Central (Comedy Central), I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp (ITV2) and Virtually Famous (E4), as well as performing on the Royal Variety Performance (ITV), Live at the Apollo (BBC1) and as a regular on Celebrity Juice (ITV2). He also starred as Jack in two series of critically-acclaimed sitcom Hebburn (BBC2), co-starring Vic Reeves and more recently alongside his wife Rosie on Married to a Celebrity and Parenting for Idiots (Channel 4).  Chris will be playing 52 dates nationwide later this year with his brand new tour – Chris Ramsey Live 2018: The Just Happy To Get Out of the House Tour.
