Following a critically-acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Tania Edwards is set to bring her brand new hour of sharp wit and macabre one-liners ‘Not My Dog’ to Soho Theatre on Monday 22nd October as part of her prize as Amused Moose Comedy Award 2018 Winner.
Tania was awarded the Amused Moose Comedy Award, previously won by Tony Law, Marcel Lucont, Celia Pacquola and Richard Gadd, by an industry panel, including critics, promoters and producers after performing an excerpt from her latest show as one of eight nominated comedy acts in the Amused Moose Comedy Award 2018 Grand Final.
‘Not My Dog’ is a darkly funny exploration of our compulsive need to (mis)represent ourselves, as Tania joyfully takes down everything she values and everything she doesn’t, then surveys the wreckage. Join Tania on this raucous investigation of modern life as she examines her identity (or identity crisis) and discovers she is not the hero of her own story.
At the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Tania was selected as James Acaster’s top comedy picks for The Guardian, Glamour Magazine’s Top Female Comedians and The Mirror’s top five jokes of the Fringe.
As well as stand up, Tania Edward’s jokes have featured on a number of topical comedy shows including Mock the Week (BBC Two), Stand Up For The Week (Channel 4), Après Ski (BBC Two), Twit of the Year (Channel 4), and The Unbelievable Truth (Radio 4). Tania was a finalist in the Hackney Empire, Leicester Square, Latitude, and Funny Women comedy competitions.
