What the press has said about Catastrophe

“as beautifully rommy as it is swaggeringly commy…Eye-wateringly dirty and unusually soulful…and already looks unmatchable as the best comedy of 2015”
Jack Seale, The Guardian

“…savagely funny gem of a show”.
Ben Dowell, the Radio Times

“already looks unmatchable as the best comedy of 2015”.
David Chater, The Times

“hit the ground running with one of the best opening episodes of a sitcom for years, and it has kept up the quality through the rest of the episodes so far. It’s one of those rare TV comedies that not only has great gags in every single scene, but also seems real and convincing, due in no small part to the perfect performances of Sharon and Rob.”
★★★★★
Boyd Hilton, Heat

“This was an edgy, slick, funny portrayal of dysfunctional middle-age relationships without once looking like it was trying too hard”
The Sunday Times

“Great new sitcom from Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney which is both believable and hilarious”
Ian Hyland, The Mirror

“disappointingly, terrific”
Euan Ferguson, The Observer

“I hadn’t realised how much I loved this series until it ended after half an hour and I didn’t want it to stop….Theirs is a touching, funny and unusual relationship in which humour is used as an expression of love. It’s the perfect rom-com for people who don’t want to admit they like rom-coms”
David Chater, Times

“a TV comedy that’s actually funny”
Kevin O’Sullivan, Sunday Mirror

“This startlingly good new adult rom-com sees Horgan, along with co-creator/co-star Rob Delaney, deliver what already looks like one of the comedies of the year: it’s filthy, clever, snappy and heartfelt”
Jack Seale, Radio Times

“I’m trying to hold down my excitement, because it’s been a long time since I’ve seen a British comedy that actually speaks to me…I shouldn’t like these two characters but I was really rooting for them…I already can’t wait to see it again.”
Lorna Cooper, Red Magazine (on BBC Radio)

“clever, funny and charming sitcom”
★★★★★
TV Times

“a half hour narrative comedy that bursts with jokes. Solid, delicious chunks of funny pudding rather than the funny-flavoured foam we’ve been doused in lately”
Julia Raeside, The Guardian

“it’s a comedy that fires no blanks.”
Mark Wareham, The Mail on Sunday
