LAST CHANCE TO SEE THE GUV’NOR IN LONDON
LAST CHANCE TO SEE THE GUV’NOR IN LONDON

AL MURRAY, THE PUB LANDLORD calls last orders in London on his critically-acclaimed, twice-extended, sell-out tour The Only Way Is Epic, performing the show at Shepherd’s Bush Empire for the last time this autumn. Tuesday 8th October will be the final chance to catch THE GUV’s hugely-successful show in London.

Taking the total number of dates to a staggering 163 – everyone’s favourite publican will be in London with his show of epic proportions, filling up Broken Britain’s empty pint glasses and teaching his punters life’s motto: It’s much more complicated than that…

The show sees Britain’s most irrepressible innkeeper serving up his premier brew of ale-inspired acumen and bar-room buffoonery and will be Tackling the Euro, Why Kids Don’t Know The Meaning Of Hard Work, Saying The Unsayable, Scots Independence and the Delicate Balance of Supply and Demand, THE GUV’s show will reboot you as parents, sort you out as kids, set you free as citizens. Ambitious? Yes. Epic? Certainly.

Tickets for The Only Way is Epic are available through AL’s website, www.thepublandlord.com, and are on sale from Friday 28th June 2013 at 9.00am. A full list of autumn 2013 dates are on the following page.

What the press has said about Al Murray, The Pub Landlord The Only Way Is Epic:

“It’s wickedly witty stuff, and the knowledge that Murray is in fact a staunch, rather high-born Europhile with an MA in modern history makes this outwardly boorish satire on British provincialism more seductive still – right down, in fact, to the occasional guilt-ridden moment of doubt as to exactly what it is you’re laughing at.”
Mark Monahan, The Daily Telegraph

“. . .a bona fide British institution. . . his material packs a sharpness that makes you think his glass is still charged with a drop of the satirical brew that made the name of his ancestor William Makepeace Thackeray.”
Warren Howard, The Independent

“. . .an exceptional balancing act. Performing in his short-sleeved white shirt, with a working beer pump behind him, Murray’s interaction with his crowd remains one of the wonders of the comedy world… satire with scope and a real sting from this Oxford history graduate.”
Dominic Maxwell, The Times

“No one works a room like Murray. . . sets up numerous running jokes, keeping them all going like spinning plates. His quick insults pull no punches, but are done with obvious affection, in the spirit of mates’ conversations the land over – but never as sharp as this.”
Steve Bennett, Chortle
