ILIZA SHLESINGER ANNOUNCES UK DEBUT AT SOHO THEATRE

Join the smart, brazen and straight talking American ILIZA SHLESINGER as she makes a UK debut with a highly anticipated run of her stand-up show Freezing Hot at the Soho Theatre (Downstairs) from the 17th-31st August. An adaption of ILIZA’S acclaimed Netflix special Freezing Hot, this hour will be filled with unflinchingly honest observations on men and women, hashtag-able phrases and laugh-out-loud revelations exposing some of women’s best kept – and ugliest – secrets, including truths about first date attire, fantasy break-ups and the tireless pursuit of not being cold while still looking hot.

ILIZA is the youngest and only female comedian to win US talent show Last Comic Standing, her debut TV special War Paint reached #1 on the US iTunes chart and was included in the “Top Ten Albums of 2013” on iTunes and her follow up Netflix Special Freezing Hot (available in the US and UK) premiered to rave reviews in January 2015 sealing her title as one of the hottest touring acts in America. Recent appearances at the coveted Montreal Just for Laughs and Melbourne International Comedy Festival add to her extensive live stand-up résumé including hundreds of clubs in the US and various countries overseas.

Originally from Dallas, ILIZA moved to Los Angeles after graduating from Emerson College. She was the host of CBS’s syndicated comedy dating show Excused, in which she filmed 230 episodes and her other TV credits include multiple appearances on NBC’S Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, TBS’Deal With It, Comedy Central Presents, Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, E! Network’s Chelsea Lately and The Soup, TBS’ Who Gets the Last Laugh?, and Showtime’s Pauly Shore and Friends and Bridging the Gap Comedy Festival. She also featured in the comedy documentary I Am Comic.
