Hosted by Gabby Logan and flanked by multi-award-winning comedians, FRANK SKINNER and MICKY FLANAGAN, I Love My Country is a new high-energy comedy-entertainment show for Saturday evening. The brand new series will see two teams of well-known British faces from the worlds of sport, entertainment and music, led by FRANK and MICKY, battle it out in a contest of who knows the United Kingdom best. While GABBY tries to keep the whole show within some modicum of control, the captains lead their celebrity panel, assisted by their sometimes helpful, regularly boisterous, audience teams to pride, glory and the much-coveted I Love My Country commemorative plate. Also starring in the show is multi-MOBO Award winning singer-songwriter, JAMELIA, who, as well as fronting the show’s live in-house band, lays down the occasional team challenge.

A co-production between Avalon Television Scotland and Netherlands-based Talpa, I Love My Country was commissioned by DANNY COHEN, former Controller, BBC One; ALAN TYLER, Executive Editor, Entertainment Commissioning; and MARK LINSEY, Controller, Entertainment Commissioning. The series is directed by PETER ORTON (Harry Hill’s TV Burp) and produced by SPENCER MILLMAN (Harry Hill’s TV Burp), while the Executive Producers are RICHARD ALLEN-TURNER, JON THODAY and TOBY STEVENS.

I Love My Country is based on the Dutch TV hit of the same name created and produced by Talpa, the company of media entrepreneur JOHN DE MOL.
