FRANK SKINNER ANNOUNCES MAN IN A SUIT UK TOUR

Following his sold out London run, FRANK SKINNER will take to the road in April 2014 for the first time since his sell-out nationwide tour in 2007 with 35 performances only of his new show Man In a Suit.

Pre-sale tickets will be available to purchase at frankskinnerlive.com from 9am on Wednesday 15th January at and will go on general sale on Friday 17th January.

Man In a Suit sold out its debut run at London’s Soho Theatre in October 2013. Standing seats have now been released for FRANK’s upcoming five week run at the Leicester Square Theatre from January 21st.

FRANK SKINNER is the host of BBC One’s Room 101 (which returns for a new series at 8.30pm on January 24th) and the Sony Award winning Absolute Radio show with over 600,000 listeners every Saturday morning and more than 13 million downloads as a podcast, with 2.8 million in 2013 alone, making it both Absolute and commercial radio’s most successful podcast. FRANK recently hosted Portrait Artist of the Year with JOAN BAKEWELL (Sky Arts).

FRANK SKINNER’s live career began in 1987 when he spent £400 of his last £435 booking a room at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Four years later in 1991 he returned to the city and beat fellow nominees JACK DEE and EDDIE IZZARD to take home comedy’s most prestigious prize, The Perrier Award. He last toured the UK in 2007 with the twice-extended, totally sold-out Frank Skinner Live which included three homecoming gigs at Birmingham’s NIA.

As a television and radio performer, FRANK SKINNER has hosted three series of Frank Skinner’s Opinionated for BBC Two, wrote and starred in two series of the critically-acclaimed comedy drama series Don’t Start for BBC Radio 4 and created The Frank Skinner Show (ITV), which is widely credited as setting the tone for the modern comedic chat show and ran for nine years, attracting 11 million viewers at its peak. He has twice hosted Have I Got News for You, presented a documentary investigating the life of GEORGE FORMBY (BBC Four) and authored a Panorama (BBC One) special on taste and decency.

With DAVID BADDIEL, FRANK SKINNER created and presented Fantasy Football and Baddiel and Skinner Unplanned (ITV). Alongside THE LIGHTNING SEEDS the pair attained three number one hits with the football anthem Three Lions.

As an author, FRANK SKINNER has published Dispatches from the Sofa; a collection of columns he wrote for The Times over a two year period and has written two autobiographies, the first of which, Frank Skinner, was the top selling autobiography of 2002, spending 46 weeks in The Sunday Times Bestseller List. The second Frank Skinner On The Road, chronicled his 2007, sell-out return to stand-up.
