IAIN STIRLING is a BAFTA-nominated presenter, a Chortle-nominated comedian and he is home. Now, having bought a house with his girlfriend, IAIN explores the dichotomy of emotions you experience when making a commitment to “the one”. How can a decision that comes from a place of love and commitment lead to such fear and uncertainty?
Edinburgh-born comic IAIN STIRLING completely sold out his debut hour last year at the Fringe with his critically-acclaimed 2012 show Happy To Be The Clown? Due to huge demand, extra dates were added during the festival, and subsequently, a run of shows at London’s Soho Theatre.
IAIN burst onto the comedy scene whilst studying for a Law degree at Edinburgh University, reaching the finals of both the Paramount Funniest Student competition (2009), and the_ Chortle Student Comedian of the Year competition_ (2009). Just one week after graduating, IAIN found himself on a train down to London to begin presenting on CBBC and just two years later he received a BAFTA nomination for Best Children’s Presenter. He has written for, developed and presented a number of other CBBC projects, including; Help! My Supply Teacher Is Magic, 12 Again and All Over the Place. His love of football has led him to commentate for CBBC’s Red Button Coverage of the World Cup and he has also appeared on CBBC’s Match of the Day Kickabout.
Iain has performed on Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC Three), appeared as a panellist on Fake Reaction (ITV2), warmed up for RHOD GILBERT and in 2013 he supported RUSSELL KANE on his nationwide tour.
