On-air, on-screen and on stage, Ore has established himself as a true all-rounder since winning the 14th series of Strictly Come Dancing. Now undoubtedly one of the industry’s most sought-after talents, Ore’s energy, warmth and charm has seen him emerge as a fan favourite.

An exciting broadcaster and experienced live host, Ore demonstrated his showmanship qualities on the Strictly floor as an audience of over 13 million watched him and partner Joanne Clifton crowned champions in 2016, the most watched final in Strictly history.

It capped a memorable 12 months for Ore. Kicked off in style, he welcomed in the New Year as host of Bryan Adams Rocks Big Ben Live on BBC1. And, from the banks of Westminster to the beaches of Brazil, Ore spent three weeks in Rio de Janeiro as one of the faces of the Olympics Games.

His popularity amongst audiences was cemented in 2017 when he was welcomed into the family of presenters at BBC Radio 2. Having made his daytime debut, regularly deputising on Steve Wright in the Afternoons, Ore can currently be heard settling listeners into their Sunday nights as he covers for Claudia Winkleman.

At home as an entertainer, Ore’s authority and reliability, coupled with countless hours of live broadcasting under his belt, has also seen him front some of the biggest national events, from the Queen’s 90th Birthday celebrations to One Love Manchester for BBC1. The tribute concert for victims of the Manchester Arena bombing was the most watched TV programme of the year.

Other notable high-profile credits include regular presenting slots on The One Show and ITV’s This Morning, while Claimed and Shamed continues to be a ratings winner in the daytime schedule. Ore also dedicates much of his time to charitable causes including Comic and Sport Relief, Children in Need and Stand Up to Cancer.

But Ore’s dancing shoes are never far away. He continues his work from the Royal Opera House, presenting some of the finest ballet productions live to cinema screens worldwide alongside Strictly’s Darcey Bussell. And 2018 will see Ore in step with the other judges when he fulfils a dream as host of the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour.

Like many of the UK’s leading broadcasters, Ore’s varied and versatile career began in Children’s television before he was snapped up by BBC Breakfast and BBC Sport. Six successful years based at Manchester’s Media City UK also saw Ore join the presenting ranks at BBC Radio 5 Live. He now lives with his wife Portia in North London.
