Jo Elvin is the Editor of GLAMOUR magazine. Launched in March 2001, Glamour is the award winning, highest selling glossy monthly in Europe. Since joining Condé Nast in the summer of 2000 to launch the magazine, Jo has received a mantelpiece full of awards including Consumer Magazine of the Year and the coveted Editor’s Editor Award from the British Society of Magazine Editors.
Having begun her career on the famous teen ‘bible’ Dolly magazine in Australia and working as a publicist for Neighbours, Jo left her Sydney home for London where she went on to launch SUGAR and B Magazines as well as edit NEW WOMAN Magazine.
Jo is regularly called upon by the media for expert comment on all areas relating to the readership of GLAMOUR and is one of the most respected editors in the industry today.
Jo appeared as a judge on the hugely popular Great British Hairdresser series for E4 and Channel 5’s Secret Interview saw Jo offer the job of a lifetime at Glamour Magazine to two unsuspecting candidates. She has also been an expert panelist on The Apprentice: You’re Fired for BBC2 as well as a judge in the High Street Fashion Awards for Lorraine on ITV1. Jo has made guest appearances on numerous other TV series including Strictly Come Dancing — It Takes Two, The Alan Titchmarsh Show, The World’s Greatest Pop Star, Mary Queen of Charity Shops and Gok Wan’s Miss Naked Beauty as well as presenting the fashion segment on ITV’s This Morning.
Jo’s writing has also been published in many newspapers including The Independent, Evening Standard and The Observer.
