James has written and performed extensively with the Cambridge Footlights - this summer he wrote and directed the Footlights International Tourshow, taking in prestigious venues such as the Lyric Theatre and Second City, Chicago. Last year he wrote and starred in the first Footlights Tourshow to tour the USA in four decades. In 2009 he wrote and directed an award-winning comedic adaptation of Wind in the Willows at the Edinburgh Fringe.
At this years’ Edinburgh Fringe he wrote and starred in Armageddapocalypse: The Explosioning, a critically acclaimed action film parody. He now helps run The New London Theatre Company, staging and starring in classic dramas and comedies, and writes a satirical column for the Huffington Post.
