ALUN COCHRANE EMBARKS ON UK TOUR WITH (ME NEITHER)

‘Cochrane’s dour and grumpy onstage persona is allied to a real craft and creativity in his writing’Guardian Guide

Building on the success of his sold out run at Edinburgh festival the ray of sunshine himself, ALUN COCHRANE, embarks on a UK tour with his cheerfully miserable stand-up show (Me Neither) from 17th January to 31st March 2015.

ALUN’S dulcet tones are frequently heard on the radio, he is a full time co-host on the Sony Award winning The Frank Skinner Show on Absolute with FRANK SKINNER, for which he has received a 2012 Arqiva Award nomination for Best Newcomer and wrote and starred in his own four part series on BBC Radio 4 titled Alun Cochrane’s Fun House where he took listeners on a room by room stand-up tour of his house. ALUN makes regular appearances on Just A Minute (BBC Radio 4) and other credits include The Now Show (BBC Radio 4), Dilemma (BBC Radio 4), Loose Ends (BBC Radio 4) and Lee Mack And Friends (BBC Radio 4 Extra).

ALUN’S dour face has turned to acting and touring his stand-up shows, he was most recently seen on television screens as series regular ‘Sam’, alongside CHRIS ADDISON, in Sky Living’s new sitcom Trying Again and following his run at the Soho theatre will embark on a UK tour with (Me Neither) from February 2015. An Edinburgh festival favourite, ALUN received a Perrier Best Newcomer Award nomination for his debut show My Favourite Words in My Best Stories in 2004 to go alongside the Writer’s Guild Award for Comedy and has since performed a further 8 original solo stand up shows at the Fringe. ALUN took his 2011 Edinburgh show Alun Cochrane: Moments Of Alun on national tour in 2012. ALUN sometimes appears on TV shows including Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow (BBC One), Mock The Week (BBC Two), Dave’s One Night Stand (Dave), Never Mind The Buzzcocks (BBC Two), Have I Got News For You (BBC One) and 8 Out Of 10 Cats (Channel 4).
